The BU (Bangtan Universe) is a storyline by the group BTS which runs through music videos, books, a webtoon, shorts essays referred to as ‘The Notes’, and several other mediums. It chronicles the youth of 7 boys and the efforts one will go to save them all, while covering topics like mental health, poverty, and abuse.
The BU is set in the town of Songju. A fictional town with scenery inspired by actual locations in BTS music videos that has been referenced in the Graphic Lyrics books, Art Toy, and the House of BTS pop-up store.
We hope this site can help both newcomers and veteran theorists to better visualize the world of the BU!
There are 3 pages on this site: the Interactive Map, Bookmark-Style Map, and the Location Bookmarks. The Interactive Map is an embedded site, if you hover over the locations on the map images, descriptions of the locations will appear. You can click on each description for an expanded overview. The Bookmark-Style Map has an image of the map along with tabs for each location. These tabs have images of the location, and the events that took place at that location, in the form of album notes /book summaries. Lastly, the Location Bookmarks is a page without the map, having only tabs to search through locations in the BU.

This website was inspired by the Map of Songju printed at the end of HYYH Notes 1 Book ( KOR, ESP, ENG, JP). To visualize this we have used the map designed by @Sub_versi0n which combines the maps from these 4 versions and provides english translations of the location names. The site will be updated continually as we get new information.
